Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lidio Noia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clinton Clams!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clams gets a double leg takedown into Noia's guard.

Clams content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Noia is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Noia has hold of Clams's hands but Clams slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Clams seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Noia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Clams is working away from the top position though.

Clams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Noia's head.
We've been informed that Clams has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Clams is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Noia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clams on the ground.

Clams working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Clams lands a nice short elbow.
Noia pushes Clams off looking to stand but Clams dives back in and keeps control.
Noia tries to get to full guard but Clams has control of the leg.
Clams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Noia looks like he's trying to stand up.
Noia wants to get back to full guard.
Clams is nestled in close to Noia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Clams looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Noia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Noia looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Clams connects with a nice short shot to Noia's temple.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Noia swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Clams gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Noia gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Clams is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
