The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zafair fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hats sprawls well initially but Zafair persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hats is holding on to half guard well.
Hats has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zafair is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zafair prevents Hats from improving his position.
Hats makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hats.
