Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albert Einstein (ranked 2638 p4p, 1801 weight class) and Nobu Yoshioka (ranked 311 p4p, 224 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Albert Einstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nobu Yoshioka!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshioka cracks Einstein with a good jab.
Yoshioka catches Einstein with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Yoshioka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Einstein shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Yoshioka wants to get back to his feet but Einstein passes into half guard.

Still in half guard, Einstein seems content to control.
Einstein seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yoshioka for as long as he can get away with.
Einstein's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Einstein seems to be looking for submissions.
Einstein has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yoshioka can do anything to dispel that myth.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been informed that Yoshioka has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Yoshioka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Einstein uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yoshioka.

Nobu Yoshioka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Einstein closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Einstein is looking to take a break and control but Yoshioka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Einstein misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
