Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Saul Alvarez (ranked 5449 p4p, 6237 weight class) and Gary Chess (ranked 587 p4p, 627 weight class). Alvarez comes to the cage accompanied by Canelo - Training Motivation (Highlights). Gary Chess is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saul Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Chess!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Alvarez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chess doesn't seem phased though.
Alvarez connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A left lands for Alvarez.
Chess walks straight into a right hand from Alvarez - that's dropped him! Alvarez jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Chess from any more punishment! Chess complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Saul Alvarez!
After winning the bout, Saul Alvarez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
