Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacques Bonaparte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Lepisto!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lepisto tries a head kick but it misses.
Bonaparte goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lepisto looks to land a right hand but Bonaparte moved out of range.
Bonaparte swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bonaparte throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lepisto stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lepisto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lepisto tries to work over Bonaparte's front leg with a kick but Bonaparte checks it.
Lepisto tries to clinch up but Bonaparte circles away and keeps his distance.
Bonaparte takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lepisto tries to clinch there but Bonaparte circles away.
Bonaparte definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bonaparte misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lepisto counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bonaparte is lucky that one didn't land flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lepisto takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bonaparte gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lepisto throws a head kick that misses.
Lepisto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bonaparte.
Bonaparte throws out a loose jab but Lepisto uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lepisto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bonaparte lands a big uppercut and Lepisto crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lepisto looks OK. Bonaparte waves Lepisto back to his feet!
Bonaparte fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Lepisto square on the jaw! Damn, Lepisto is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jacques Bonaparte!
