Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Jackson (ranked 4222 p4p, 5095 weight class) and Gunnar Malvoe (ranked 256 p4p, 290 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gunnar Malvoe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws an off balance right hand
and Malvoe counters with a nice uppercut.
Malvoe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jackson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Malvoe tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Malvoe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson throws a push kick but Malvoe slaps the foot to one side.
Malvoe lands a nice hook to Jackson's body. Jackson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jackson throws a poor cross that misses
and Malvoe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Malvoe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malvoe misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson attempts a counter takedown but Malvoe avoids it well and moves away.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Malvoe doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Malvoe tries to sprawl but Jackson drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malvoe wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.

Jackson winds up and cracks Malvoe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Malvoe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jackson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson slips a nice elbow through Malvoe's hands, connecting with Malvoe's forehead.
Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jackson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jackson prevents Malvoe from improving his position.
Jackson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Jackson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Malvoe can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jackson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Malvoe's head.

Malvoe is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard.
Malvoe on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Malvoe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jackson.
Jackson stalling.
Jackson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Jackson scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Jackson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Jackson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jackson lands with a punch from half guard.
Jackson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jackson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Malvoe is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Malvoe avoid being mounted?
Malvoe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Malvoe defending well though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to Malvoe's temple.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Malvoe lands a glancing blow to the side of Jackson's head.
Malvoe cracks Jackson with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Malvoe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jackson throws a right hand that misses
and Malvoe counters with a straight right hand.
Malvoe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Malvoe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jackson throws a wild body kick that Malvoe sees coming a mile off.
Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Malvoe has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jackson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Malvoe throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malvoe lands a body shot.
Jackson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A jab from Malvoe does it's job there.
Gunnar Malvoe seems to be getting the better of the standup.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Malvoe lands a head shot.

Malvoe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jacksons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Malvoe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A nice side step and Malvoe releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Jackson is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Malvoe's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Malvoe checks the leg kick.
Malvoe looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Jackson throws a right hand that misses
and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jackson throws an off balance right hand
and Malvoe counters with a nice uppercut.
Malvoe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Malvoe fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jackson walks into a straight right hand from Malvoe.
Malvoe clobbers Jackson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jackson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Malvoe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Malvoe lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jackson walks into a straight right hand from Malvoe.
Jackson looks to throw the jab but Malvoe is out of range.
Jackson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Malvoe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Jackson is rocked!
Malvoe jabs Jackson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jackson.
Jackson throws a poor cross that misses
and Malvoe counters with a left to the body.
Jackson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Oh Jackson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gunnar Malvoe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Malvoe circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jackson to the canvas! Jackson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Malvoe keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunnar Malvoe!
