Peterson has chosen Berzerk by Eminem as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Turnik sprawls well. He's pushed Peterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

It looks like Jake Peterson has been cut.

Turnik cracks Peterson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Peterson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Turnik finish him?

Turnik lands a big uppercut and Peterson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Peterson looks OK. Turnik waves Peterson back to his feet!

Peterson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turnik is fending him off so far but Peterson persists. Nope, Turnik circles away and we're back to standing.

Boban Turnik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Peterson.
Turnik plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Peterson swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Peterson face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
