The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nastula tries to land a body kick
and Matikainen counters with a low kick, right behind Nastula 's knee.
Nastula has his takedown stuffed
and Matikainen counters with an inside leg kick.
Matikainen moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Matikainen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Matikainen lands a slapping body shot.
DaMatti Matikainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matikainen goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Oooooh!!! Matikainen has knocked Nastula down with a huge combo! Matikainen steps away and waves a wobbly Nastula back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Matikainen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nastula thinking.
Nastula is still on wobbly legs! Can Matikainen finish him?
Matikainen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nastula looks winded!

Matikainen sends Nastula crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Matikainen is motioning to the referee to let Nastula up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Matikainen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Matikainen lands a nice shot to the body.
Matikainen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Matikainen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nastula stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Matikainen lands a big uppercut and Nastula crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Nastula looks OK. Matikainen waves Nastula back to his feet!
Matikainen stuns Nastula with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nastula takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Matikainen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Matikainen lands with a big right hook that stumbles Nastula - he's out on his feet here! Matikainen follows up with another monster hook that separates Nastula from consciousness! Nastula falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Matikainen stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
