The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage keeps Lesnar at a distance using the push kick.
Savage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lesnar avoids it really well and circles away.

Lesnar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Savage's guard.
Savage is trying to hold Lesnar in close to prevent damage but Lesnar has managed to pass into half guard.

Lesnar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Savage for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Savage is trying to maintain the position but Lesnar is very close to passing his half guard.
Savage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
