Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marc King (ranked 4754 p4p, 4891 weight class) and Steve Homeboy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marc King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Homeboy!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Homeboy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King is trying to control the position from the bottom.
King looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Homeboy is looking to work some ground and pound but King has wrist control.

King throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Homeboy escapes and throws King's legs to the side, diving into side control!
King seems a little lost for a moment, as Homeboy dominates the positioning.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Homeboy is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. King is in real trouble.

King rolls, trying to escape but Homeboy keeps control of the position.

You can see the frustration on King's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

It looks like Homeboy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

King is trying to push Homeboy away but Homeboy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Homeboy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

King tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Homeboy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Homeboy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts King as he jumps to the side.
No luck for Homeboy with that takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King tries to clinch up but Homeboy circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Homeboy swats away the attempt to clinch by King.

Homeboy tries to score a power double leg takedown but King sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Homeboy somewhat.
King tries to close the distance and clinch but Homeboy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Homeboy dives in for a single leg takedown but King sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Steve Homeboy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

King is trying to maintain a safe position but Homeboy gets an underhook and turns King into the cage.

King using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Homeboy has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Homeboy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
King has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Homeboy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
King throws a strike but Homeboy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Homeboy has control of King's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and King regains control of the situation pretty easily.
