PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spade (ranked 1641 p4p, 1679 weight class) and Old Leg Tartakov (ranked 228 p4p, 232 weight class). Spade comes to the cage accompanied by Ace of spades by Motorhead. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade shoots in but no luck this time.

Tartakov moves into the clinch successfully.
Spade has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tartakov after a bit of a struggle.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tartakov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Spade has gone for a leg lock! Tartakov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spade's guard.


Spade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tartakov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tartakov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tartakov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tartakov connects with a nice short shot to Spade's temple.

Spade is looking for a sweep. Tartakov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
