Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Hall (ranked 1322 p4p, 3161 weight class) and Eli Snake (ranked 150 p4p, 329 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Richard Hall!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eli Snake!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snake takes a swing at Hall's ribcage but misses.
Hall wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Hall shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Snake but Snake pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Snake let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Hall pushes Snake up against the cage in a clinch.

Snake breaks from the clinch.
Hall with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Snake to score with a decent uppercut.
Snake lands a two punch combo.
Snake throws a body shot but no joy.
Hall slips a straight right by Snake.
Hall tries to counter by clinching up but Snake breaks away and moves out of range.
Hall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Snake.
A looping hook to the body misses from Snake. Hall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hall tries to counter with a takedown but Snake is quick to defend against it.
Snake throws a right and a left that Hall avoids nicely.
Hall moves in looking to clinch but Snake pushes him off.
Snake throws a hook but Hall avoids it easily.
Snake throws a sloppy body shot

and Hall moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Hall keeps control of Snake as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Snake is trying to break the clinch but Hall is controlling him.
Snake misses with some punches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Hall - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Hall wants to slow Snake down by chopping away at his legs.
Hall moves out of range as Snake strikes.
Hall tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Snake manages to circle out of the way.

Hall forces Snake back against the cage and clinches.

The referee is keeping an eye on Hall - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Snake throws a head punch that misses.

Snake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hall definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Snake lands a right hook to the body.
A shot to the body from Snake misses

and Hall counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hall.

Hall slows down the pace here.
Snake has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Hall seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Snake can turn it around.
Hall blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Snake scores with a shot to the side of Hall's head.

Hall fails to pull guard.

Hall is trying to pull guard but Snake turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Snake works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Snake works his way into side control.
Snake tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hall's legs.
Hall manages to get back to half guard.
Hall is trying to get back to full guard.

Snake is working for an americana but Hall has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Snake was thinking about the submission.

Snake sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Hall doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Snake paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Hall - great work!
