Nice takedown defense from Peixoto. No joy for Hawthorne on that attempt.
Peixoto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No luck for Hawthorne with that takedown attempt.
Hawthorne avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Peixoto shoots in but no luck this time.

Hawthorne misses with a takedown attempt - Peixoto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Peixoto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Peixoto ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Peixoto no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Hawthorne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hawthorne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oh but Peixoto is tightening it up a little... Hawthorne has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hawthorne reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hawthorne taps out! nice BJJ there by Peixoto!
