Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabiano Martinez (ranked 5884 p4p, 4462 weight class) and Ober Fix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fix throws a lazy right hand but Martinez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fabiano Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fix throws a shot to the body.
Fix connects with a body shot that sends Martinez's belly button to the back.
Martinez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Martinez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fix.
Martinez misses with a takedown attempt - Fix sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Martinez shoots in for a double leg but Fix sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fix thuds a left hand into Martinez's body.

Fix is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Martinez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Martinez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fix.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Fabiano Martinez.
Martinez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fix pinned against the cage. Fix gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fix comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Martinez dives in and scores a takedown into Fix's guard.

Martinez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fix manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Martinez has Fix in his guard.

Fix might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Martinez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
