Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Olives (ranked 4354 p4p, 6019 weight class) and Dick Niaz (ranked 402 p4p, 481 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Niaz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Olives looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Olives jumps guard but Niaz stands there with Olives around his waist. Olives gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Niaz 's coach down at Stewie's Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Niaz 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A bit of stalling here from Niaz .

Olives drags the fight down to the ground.
Niaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Olives is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Niaz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Olives has his feet on Niaz 's thighs here. He's pushed Niaz off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Niaz screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Charlie Olives gave a big smile as he said 'First of all I want to thank God and My Family for helping me to get here then my team and gym teammates, I'm going for that belt and it will eventually happen one day that I will become a champion'.
