Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trace Finlay (ranked 4597 p4p, 4966 weight class) and James Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 530 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finlay shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baxter defends it nicely.
Baxter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Baxter lands a nice shot to the body.
Baxter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Finlay looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Finlay misses with a takedown attempt

and Baxter moves into the clinch.
Baxter scores with a knee to the head.
Baxter manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baxter landing knees to the head.

Baxter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Finlay scores with a head kick. Baxter tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
James Baxter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baxter avoids the head kick by Finlay.
Finlay walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Finlay lands a nice leg kick that just misses Baxter's sensitive parts.
Baxter scores with a sloppy right hand. Finlay should have avoided that one.

Finlay is rocked!

Baxter closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Finlay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Baxter lands a big knee! That's hurt Finlay! Oh, he's all over the place! Baxter lands another knee that sends Finlay to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
