Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lydon (ranked 1667 p4p, 5114 weight class) and Rakeem Marley (ranked 222 p4p, 590 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lydon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Queen - Don't Stop Me Now . Marley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Damian Marley - Welcome to Jamrock. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley throws a sloppy head kick and Lydon moves out of range easily.
Marley tried to score with a low kick but Lydon checks it.
Lydon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No joy there for Lydon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marley waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lydon.
Lydon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Marley back to the cage. Lydon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Rakeem Marley has been cut.
Lydon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lydon swinging wildly here.
Marley takes a swing at Lydon's ribcage but misses.
Lydon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marley.
Lydon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marley lands a left and a right that send Lydon crashing to the mat, dazed. Marley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rakeem Marley decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
