PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergej Kusnemirpow (ranked 5344 p4p, 19296 weight class) and Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergej Kusnemirpow is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sergej Kusnemirpow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zakrzewski enables Kusnemirpow to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zakrzewski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Zakrzewski has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kusnemirpow has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Zakrzewski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Kusnemirpow gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Zakrzewski regains guard.

Kusnemirpow drops back looking for a leg! Zakrzewski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zakrzewski manages to kick Kusnemirpow off! Kusnemirpow jumps back into Zakrzewski's guard.

Kusnemirpow isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Zakrzewski stacks Kusnemirpow on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Zakrzewski!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kusnemirpow has control of Zakrzewski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zakrzewski regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kusnemirpow shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Zakrzewski eats them both and turns towards Kusnemirpow to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kusnemirpow is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zakrzewski defends it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kusnemirpow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kusnemirpow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
