Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dillon Danis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Alvarez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Danis is looking to counter the offense by Alvarez and move into the clinch.
A punch combination from Alvarez misses.
Alvarez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A low kick from Danis is predictable there
and Alvarez counters with a stiff right hand.
Danis misses with the body kick
and Alvarez counters with a right hand to the body.
Alvarez ducks under a wild hook from Danis.
Alvarez is looking for the big counter here.
Danis misses with a low kick.
Danis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Danis on the side of the head.

and Alvarez counters with a left and a right that stings Danis.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Alvarez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Danis walks into a stiff left hand from Alvarez.
Danis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Alvarez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alvarez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Alvarez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Danis misses with a wild body shot.
A low kick from Danis misses
and Alvarez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jackson Alvarez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alvarez keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Danis.
The fighters circling - Alvarez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Danis closes the distance and clinches up with Alvarez, looking for a takedown. Danis pushes Alvarez against the cage but Alvarez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Danis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Alvarez checks it well.

and Danis counters with a good low kick that Alvarez was not able to check.

Dillon Danis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alvarez lands a really nice looking cross but Danis seems unphased.

Danis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alvarez but Alvarez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvarez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

It looks like Dillon Danis has been cut.
Danis is looking to wear down Alvarez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Danis dives in and scores a takedown into Alvarez's guard.
Alvarez is looking to stand up but Danis isn't so interested in that idea.
Danis trying to control but Alvarez is working from the bottom.

Danis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alvarez's guard.
Danis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Danis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alvarez is just riding it out for now. Danis eventually gives up the hold.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Danis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Alvarez!

Alvarez is squirming around, avoiding Danis's attempts to control the action.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alvarez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Danis is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Alvarez is surviving well by controlling Danis's body position as best he can.

Alvarez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Danis.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alvarez really wants to buck Danis off and get back to his feet.
Danis looking to control but Alvarez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Danis working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dillon Danis will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Alvarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Danis circles away quickly and effectively.
Danis wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Alvarez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Danis goes for a double leg but Alvarez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Alvarez continues to drive forward.

Alvarez connects with a looping right hand.
Alvarez stalks Danis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Danis's face. Danis staggers backwards, shaken.

Danis shoots in and drives through. Alvarez sprawls well.
Alvarez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Danis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alvarez throws a nice looking combination but Danis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Danis shoots for a takedown but Alvarez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jackson Alvarez seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Danis moves into the clinch.
Alvarez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
I was talking to Danis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Danis looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Alvarez is trying to break the clinch but Danis has him pressed against the cage.
Alvarez can't break the clinch.

Alvarez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Danis jumps guard but Alvarez stands there with Danis around his waist. Danis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Danis just misses with a elbow thrown towards Alvarez's brow.
Danis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Alvarez to keep the fight standing.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Danis takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Danis pulls guard effortlessly.
Danis is trying to keep Alvarez in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jackson Alvarez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Alvarez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
