Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smirnov looks to land a combination but Pitts avoids it well.
Smirnov fails to land with a series of punches.
Pitts drops his hands momentarily and Smirnov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Smirnov's coach down at Fogwell's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Smirnov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Pitts defending well as Smirnov loads up on a big left hand.
Pitts attempts a counter takedown but Smirnov avoids it well and moves away.
Pitts throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Smirnov stuns Pitts with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The fighters circling - Smirnov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pitts feinted with a counter takedown.
Anton Smirnov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smirnov throws a good cross that connects.
Smirnov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pitts.
Pitts comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smirnov looks to throw the jab but Pitts is out of range.
Smirnov slips a jab from Pitts.

Smirnov gets caught napping as Pitts dives in and scores a takedown. Smirnov manages to retain guard.
Smirnov wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pitts manages to pass to side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pitts is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
