Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magni Fier (ranked 2859 p4p, 4567 weight class) and Leandrinho Porradeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 545 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porradeiro misses the body punch
and Fier counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Porradeiro scores with a body shot.

Fier clinches with his opponent.

Fier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Porradeiro tries to circle away but Fier has him pinned against the cage.

Fier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Porradeiro misses with a series of wild punches.
Fier swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fier moves into the clinch.
Porradeiro tries to break the clinch but Fier is controlling the position.
Porradeiro wants to break free but Fier has control.

A nice left hand lands by Fier.
Porradeiro is trying to break the clinch but Fier has him pressed against the cage.
Fier scores with a nice hook to the head.

It looks like Leandrinho Porradeiro has been cut.

Fier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fier misses the jab.

Fier closes the distance and clinches.
Fier is leaning against Porradeiro and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Fier cracks Porradeiro with a nice body shot.
Porradeiro wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fier lands a left hand.
Fier lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Fier works on Porradeiro's body with a couple of short punches.
Porradeiro looks winded!

Fier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Porradeiro avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Porradeiro misses the shot to the body.
Fier lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Porradeiro up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Fier from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Porradeiro's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Magni Fier!
Magni Fier decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
