Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pawel Nastula!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith moves into range and connects with a jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Smith.
Smith ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nastula has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Nastula takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Nastula decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nastula is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Nastula drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nastula jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nastula is aware though and is defending well.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith has control of Nastula's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nastula regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nastula is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Smith wants to finish this one by submission but Nastula is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Smith.

Smith breaks from Nastula's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Smith is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Nastula is forced to tap! Great finish!
