Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bam Bam Gigolo (ranked 4671 p4p, 4670 weight class) and Jack Ettridge (ranked 531 p4p, 537 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gigolo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gigolo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ettridge walks away with a smile on his face. Gigolo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ettridge lands a body shot.

Ettridge clinches.

Ettridge breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ettridge shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gigolo shoots for a double leg takedown but Ettridge sprawls well. He's pushed Gigolo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ettridge has closed the distance and engaged Gigolo in a clinch.
Gigolo tries to pull guard but Ettridge won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bam Bam Gigolo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ettridge lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gigolo or not.
Gigolo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ettridge smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ettridge shoots in but Gigolo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ettridge moves into the clinch successfully.

Gigolo is looking for a takedown.
Gigolo takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Bam Bam Gigolo has been cut.
Gigolo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ettridge gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ettridge wants to take the fight to the mat but Gigolo manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Ettridge works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Ettridge trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gigolo's guard.
Ettridge postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ettridge throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ettridge wants to control from the top but Gigolo keeps moving.
Ettridge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gigolo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ettridge looking to sit in guard and control but Gigolo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ettridge wants to sweep here but Gigolo controlling him for the moment.

Gigolo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gigolo stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Ettridge closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gigolo to the mat! Gigolo manages to get full guard.
Gigolo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ettridge manages to pass to side control.
Ettridge looks winded!

Gigolo is pressing down on Ettridge's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gigolo seems keen to control Ettridge's posture.
Ettridge trying to control the position from guard on top but Gigolo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ettridge must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gigolo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Ettridge is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gigolo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ettridge is looking to defend but Gigolo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ettridge! Gigolo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ettridge taps out and this one is all over!
