Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Takaru Mamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mamura tries to avoid it but Panek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mamura to the ground. Mamura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Panek rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mamura counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Panek takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mamura steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Panek.
Panek takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mamura jabs at Panek's body.
Panek misses the body punch
and Mamura counters with a straight right hand.
Mamura throws a good cross that connects.
Jab, jab by Mamura - just one landing.
Panek walks into a left hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mamura misses with a wild body shot.
Mamura takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Panek just misses with a punch to the body.
It looked like Mamura was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Panek.

Takaru Mamura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Panek drops his hands momentarily and Mamura takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Panek walks into a stiff left hand from Mamura.
Mamura takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Panek swings widly with a right hand

and Mamura counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mamura's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Mamura duly obliges.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mamura clobbers Panek with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Panek throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mamura counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Panek changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mamura looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mamura is trying to get back to half guard.

Panek tries for a kimura but Mamura is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Mamura's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Panek is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mamura has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mamura is looking for a sweep.
Panek tries to advance to mount but can't.

Mamura tries to bench press Panek off him but Panek keeps the position.

Mamura is not content to let Panek control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Panek is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Mamura is in real trouble.

Panek is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Panek has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Mamura is in real trouble here. Panek gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Mamura is tapping out! Panek wins by rear naked choke!
