The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dedic tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wong was well out of range. Poor timing from Dedic.
Wong swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Dedic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wong.

We've been told by Dedic's head coaches at Tran MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Wong throws a looping overhand right but Dedic ducks down to avoid it.
Dedic fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wong manages to avoid it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dedic is on top in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wong looking for a sweep. Not yet Wong, not yet.
Dedic wants to control from the top but Wong keeps moving.
Wong wants to stand but Dedic is controlling the position.

Dedic is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dedic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Wong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dedic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dedic drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wong manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dedic has Wong in his guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wong avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dedic trying to keep a closed guard but Wong is proving a slippery customer.

Dedic is looking to cinch up a triangle. Wong throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dedic's body to avoid the submission. Dedic has instead reached around Wong's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dedic arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
