Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scottie Tarantino (ranked 2375 p4p, 3199 weight class) and Sukdese Bawles (ranked 299 p4p, 390 weight class). Sukdese Bawles will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scottie Tarantino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sukdese Bawles!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Bawles misses.
Bawles throws a hook to the side of Tarantino's head but Tarantino sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tarantino darts in looking for a takedown but Bawles gets double underhooks and turns Tarantino into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Bawles's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Tarantino jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bawles walks away with a smile on his face. Tarantino gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bawles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tarantino moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tarantino tries for a takedown but Bawles circles away easily
and Bawles connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scottie Tarantino. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bawles stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bawles wants it to stay on the feet.
Tarantino fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bawles avoids it really well and circles away.
Tarantino moves out of range of the body kick from Bawles.
Tarantino shoots for a double leg takedown but Bawles sprawls well. He's pushed Tarantino's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bawles wants to stand and escape but Tarantino is having none of it.
Bawles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tarantino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bawles can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tarantino makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Tarantino slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tarantino chips away with some ground and pound.

Bawles is rocked!
Tarantino loads up on a big left hand. Bawles felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Tarantino looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Bawles can't hide his disappointment, as Tarantino celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scottie Tarantino!
During a confident post fight interview, Scottie Tarantino thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
