With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karl White!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Foss as he jumps to the side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
White shoots for a takedown but Foss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
White darts in looking for a takedown but Foss gets double underhooks and turns White into the cage.
Mads Foss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl White.
White fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Foss avoids it really well and circles away.
Foss scores with a leg kick.
Foss slaps away a takedown attempt from White, before circling back to the center of the mat.
White shoots in and drives through. Foss sprawls well.
Foss lands a nice shot to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foss thows a body kick. White tries to catch it but that hurt him.
White shoots in for a takedown but Foss shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Foss was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Foss wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Foss scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Foss stuns White with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

White takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Foss fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Foss is looking to wear down White with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Foss scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. White doesn't seem bothered though.
Mads Foss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Foss tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but White was well out of range. Poor timing from Foss.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! White crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Foss - the referee stops the clock and White gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Foss. White manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Foss tests White's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Foss lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Foss throws a body punch but White moves out of range.
Foss throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
White changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
White dives in and grabs Foss's left leg, looking for a takedown. Foss pushes down on White's head and hops out.
White moves forwards but Foss connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Foss works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Foss.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Foss.
White on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Foss connects with an inside leg kick.
White's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Foss fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. White looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Foss enables White to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Foss manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
White stands and throws Foss's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Foss is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Foss is looking for a sweep.
We've been informed that White has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
You can see the frustration on Foss's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Foss is looking to work his way out of this bad position but White is controlling him well.

White is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Foss knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Foss sneaks back into half guard.

White is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Foss on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foss tries to get out of the position.

White is looking to take a break and control but Foss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Foss tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Foss to the ground. Foss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

White has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Foss.

White tries to score a power double leg takedown but Foss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten White somewhat.
Foss feints and then cracks White's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow White down.

White with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Foss to score with a decent uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Foss is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Foss has the hooks in. White is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

What can White do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Foss wants to control but White manages to buck him off and is now in Foss's guard! Nice work there by White!

White thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Foss pulls White in to control the position.
Foss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
White wants to control from the top but Foss keeps moving.
Foss wants to sweep but no luck.
Foss is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around?

White pushes down on Foss's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Foss wants to get back to full guard.
Foss moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
White passes Foss's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

White is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Foss is looking for a sweep. White is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White trying to control the action but Foss is working from the bottom.
Foss is trying to maintain the position but White is very close to passing his half guard.

White is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Foss is just riding it out for now. White eventually gives up the hold.

White is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Foss defends it well.

White is trying for a kimura here. Foss looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! White wins by kimura!
