Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Reeves (ranked 2530 p4p, 3780 weight class) and Bogdan Valeryevich (ranked 330 p4p, 463 weight class). Valeryevich comes into a darkened arena with his song building. oy, to ne vecher kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, William Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bogdan Valeryevich!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reeves slips a jab from Valeryevich.
Reeves with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Reeves avoids the body shot from Valeryevich.
Reeves drops his hands momentarily and Valeryevich takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Reeves feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Reeves trying to control the position from guard on top but Valeryevich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Valeryevich can do anything to dispel that myth.

Reeves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reeves gets to his feet. Valeryevich looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Reeves definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Valeryevich just misses with a punch to the body.
Reeves throws a body punch but Valeryevich moves out of range.
Valeryevich throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Horrible takedown attempt by Reeves or perhaps it was just good defense by Valeryevich, which made it look bad.
Reeves walks into a left hand.
Reeves shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Valeryevich as he jumps to the side.
Valeryevich is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Reeves with a body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reeves. Valeryevich does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reeves attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Reeves slips a jab from Valeryevich.
Reeves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Valeryevich moves away.
Valeryevich throws out a counter right but Reeves avoids it with no problem.
Valeryevich circles away from the clinch attempt.
Valeryevich blocks a head kick by Reeves.
A lazy left from Valeryevich finds it's target.
Valeryevich throws a body punch but Reeves moves out of range.
Valeryevich keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Reeves takes one on the button.
Valeryevich wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Valeryevich on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Valeryevich looks to land a left hand but Reeves moved out of range nicely.
Reeves scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Valeryevich takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Reeves misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Reeves throws a body punch but Valeryevich moves out of range.

Donk. Reeves catches Valeryevich right on the button with a cross.

The fighters circle momentarily. Valeryevich darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Reeves moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Valeryevich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reeves misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Valeryevich to counter with a crisp jab.
Reeves gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Reeves throws a series of strikes that have Valeryevich backpedaling.
Reeves lands a jab to Valeryevich's midsection.
Reeves throws a body punch but Valeryevich moves out of range.
We've been informed that Valeryevich has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Bogdan Valeryevich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reeves misses the shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reeves connects with a leg kick.
Valeryevich is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Reeves had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Valeryevich avoids the body shot from Reeves.
Reeves throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Valeryevich counters with a straight right hand.
Reeves is looking to wear down Valeryevich with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

A jab from Reeves finds it's way through Valeryevich's defenses.
Reeves misses the shot to the body.
Reeves keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Valeryevich blocks a head kick by Reeves.
A nice side step and Valeryevich releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Reeves throws a low kick but Valeryevich avoids it.
Valeryevich lands a slapping body shot.
Valeryevich doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Reeves lands a right hook to the body.
A solid body kick from Reeves.
Valeryevich looks winded!
Reeves works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Valeryevich ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reeves moves away.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reeves misses with an attempted mid kick.
Reeves misses with a body shot.
Valeryevich connects with a body shot.
Reeves attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

William Reeves dominated that round.

Reeves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Valeryevich manages to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Reeves. That snapped Valeryevich's head back.
Valeryevich keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Valeryevich drops his hands momentarily and Reeves takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Reeves shoots in looking for a takedown. Valeryevich tries to sprawl out of it but Reeves keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Valeryevich manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Valeryevich swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Valeryevich tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reeves was well out of range. Poor timing from Valeryevich.
Reeves avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Reeves lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Valeryevich sprawling to the canvas. Reeves follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Valeryevich hang on?

Valeryevich is rocked!
Valeryevich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reeves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reeves is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Valeryevich is still in real trouble! Can Reeves finish him?
Reeves is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Valeryevich is hurt! He's hurt bad - Reeves fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Valeryevich from any more punishment! Congratulations to Reeves! Great finish!
