And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carey Bolden!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolden fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bolden.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Stevenson wants to get back to his feet but Bolden drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bolden thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bolden is trying to get an arm triangle but Stevenson is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bolden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stevenson is working away from the top position though.
Stevenson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bolden does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A punch lands to the side of Stevenson 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Stevenson is trying to drag Bolden to the mat but Bolden just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stevenson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bolden did well to prevent Stevenson getting side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carey Bolden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stevenson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stevenson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Stevenson has Bolden pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stevenson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bolden tumbling to the mat - Stevenson dives into Bolden's guard.

Stevenson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bolden is just riding it out for now. Stevenson eventually gives up the hold.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Bolden goes for a double leg but Stevenson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stevenson continues to drive forward.

Stevenson has control of Bolden's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bolden regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Frank Stevenson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
