The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro fails to land with a series of punches.
Ribeiro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Ribeiro does no damage.
Ribeiro scores with a nice strike.
Ribeiro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Du Bois gets a double leg takedown into Ribeiro's guard.

Ribeiro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ribeiro has his foot on Du Bois's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Du Bois works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ribeiro is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Du Bois rolls with it to try and escape but Ribeiro cranks on the arm and Du Bois is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
