The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez shoots in and drives through. Reeves sprawls well.

Reeves scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Reeves misses with a takedown attempt - Martinez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Reeves will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reeves throws a chopping leg kick but Martinez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Martinez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nice defenses there by Reeves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reeves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martinez wants to get back to his feet but Reeves drags him back down.

Reeves has hold of Martinez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Martinez seems comfortable defending it but Reeves has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Martinez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Martinez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Reeves couldn't care less - he's delighted!
