Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogueira is keen to just control but Kaya is a slippery customer.

Nogueira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nogueira is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kaya is just riding it out for now. Nogueira eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Nogueira is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kaya has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kaya tries to roll over but Nogueira keeps him under control.

Nogueira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nogueira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kaya keeps working.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nogueira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nogueira drops back looking for a leg! Kaya is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kaya manages to kick Nogueira off! Nogueira jumps back into Kaya's guard.
Nogueira must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kaya escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nogueira gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kaya takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Nogueira has hold of Kaya's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kaya seems comfortable defending it but Nogueira has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kaya is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kaya is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Nogueira couldn't care less - he's delighted!
