Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michel Berger (ranked 4436 p4p, 6447 weight class) and Niall ODooley (ranked 474 p4p, 0 weight class). Niall ODooley acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michel Berger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Niall ODooley!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berger slips under a jab from ODooley.
ODooley lands with a nice body punch.
Berger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but ODooley defends well and Berger ends up having to push ODooley into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Berger jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as ODooley walks away with a smile on his face. Berger gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
ODooley throws a right hand that misses
and Berger counters with a right hand to the body.
ODooley connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Berger shoots in and gets a takedown into ODooley's guard.
ODooley is wriggling around but Berger manages to pass to half guard.
Berger controlling the pace.

Berger decides to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Berger closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

ODooley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Berger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with ODooley, pushing him back against the cage.
Berger is trying to break free.
Berger tries a body shot but ODooley blocks it.
ODooley lands a right hand that snaps the head of Berger backwards.

Berger manages to break the clinch.
ODooley cracks Berger with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Berger looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Berger lands a nice short elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Berger content to control rather than advance.
ODooley is trying to stand up here but Berger is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berger perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

ODooley is defending against the submission attempts here by Berger.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Berger is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
ODooley is looking to escape.
Berger could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
ODooley won't allow Berger to pass to mount.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Berger gets a double leg takedown into ODooley's guard.
Berger trying to control the position from guard on top but ODooley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Berger is breathing heavily.
ODooley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Berger controls the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
ODooley wants to get back to his feet but Berger is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Berger postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! ODooley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Berger, into his guard.

ODooley wanted to stand there but Berger had control of the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michel Berger will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


ODooley cracks Berger with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Berger looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can ODooley finish him?
ODooley is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
ODooley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and ODooley wants it to stay on the feet.
A head kick misses from Berger.
ODooley looks like he wants to counter punch here.
ODooley has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Michel Berger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
ODooley throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Niall ODooley seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Berger gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! ODooley gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Berger is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Niall ODooley!
