Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scat Chirp Nil!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chirp Nil lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Rajon Shaw has been cut.

Shaw fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chirp Nil sprawls well initially but Shaw persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Shaw missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Chirp Nil is looking for a sweep. Shaw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Shaw decides to stand and escape the position.
Nice body punch from Chirp Nil.
Chirp Nil throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shaw sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shaw throws a looping overhand right but Chirp Nil ducks down to avoid it.
Chirp Nil lands a body shot.
Shaw shoots in but no luck this time.
Chirp Nil throws a right hand that misses

and Shaw counters with a takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chirp Nil is not content to let Shaw control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shaw looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's one minute gone in the round.
An elbow from Shaw crashes against the mat.
Chirp Nil is trying to escape the position but Shaw is controlling the position.
Chirp Nil tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Shaw presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Chirp Nil is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Chirp Nil tries to hold on but Shaw postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Shaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chirp Nil is looking to escape.
Shaw thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Chirp Nil can't escape the position.

Shaw is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Shaw extends the arm and Chirp Nil is forced to tap!

After winning the bout, Rajon Shaw thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
