PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bersck Trenson (ranked 24806 p4p, 4238 weight class) and Ralphie Hornby (ranked 502 p4p, 365 weight class). Trenson comes to the cage accompanied by Drive That Funky Soul. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trenson blocks a head kick by Hornby.
Trenson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hornby but Hornby pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hornby wants to counter with a clinch but Trenson pushes him away.

and Hornby finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Trenson has gone for a leg lock! Hornby slips out almost immediately though and dives into Trenson's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hornby seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Trenson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hornby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trenson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hornby lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Trenson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hornby defends well and Trenson ends up having to push Hornby into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hornby shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trenson as he jumps to the side.

and Hornby counters with a three punch combo that has Trenson backing up. Trenson nods at Hornby to acknowledge the strikes.
Hornby looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Trenson is fending him off so far but Hornby persists. Nope, Trenson circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Hornby, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well Hornby has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Ralphie Hornby rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
