Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kamal Quahaar (ranked 6079 p4p, 25178 weight class) and Sukhothai Jitmuangnon (ranked 624 p4p, 703 weight class). Quahaar comes to the cage accompanied by Oh No - Mos Def. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kamal Quahaar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sukhothai Jitmuangnon!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Quahaar swats away the attempt to clinch by Jitmuangnon.
Quahaar wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jitmuangnon misses the body punch

and Quahaar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Jitmuangnon with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Quahaar drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
I was talking to Quahaar's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jitmuangnon misses with a knee strike.
Jitmuangnon tries a knee to the head but Quahaar blocks it.
Jitmuangnon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Quahaar avoids it.
Quahaar jumps guard but Jitmuangnon stands there with Quahaar around his waist. Quahaar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jitmuangnon looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Quahaar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jitmuangnon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamal Quahaar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Quahaar keeps control of Jitmuangnon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jitmuangnon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jitmuangnon can't break the clinch.
Jitmuangnon throws an elbow that misses.
Jitmuangnon manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Quahaar letting Jitmuangnon take a breather here.

Jitmuangnon misses with a knee strike.
Jitmuangnon misses with a hook to the ribs.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jitmuangnon prevents a takedown attempt there.
Quahaar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jitmuangnon smiles and moves away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jitmuangnon tries to close the distance and clinch but Quahaar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
As Jitmuangnon tries to get set, Quahaar tries to push him back and clinch up but Jitmuangnon manages to avoid the attempt.
A head kick misses from Quahaar.
Jitmuangnon throws a big counter head kick but Quahaar avoids it with no problem.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quahaar is defended easily by Jitmuangnon.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sukhothai Jitmuangnon dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Quahaar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jitmuangnon as he avoids it easily.
A nice side step and Jitmuangnon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Quahaar tries to keep at a distance but Jitmuangnon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jitmuangnon tries a knee to the head but Quahaar blocks it.
Jitmuangnon pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bit of stalling here from Jitmuangnon.
Jitmuangnon tries to break the clinch but Quahaar is controlling the position.
Jitmuangnon misses with a knee to the head.
Quahaar avoids a wild elbow strike from Jitmuangnon.

Jitmuangnon pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Jitmuangnon throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Quahaar blocks it with crossed arms.
Jitmuangnon misses with an elbow over the top.

Jitmuangnon breaks the clinch.

Quahaar shoots in and drives through. Jitmuangnon sprawls well.
It seemed like Jitmuangnon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Jitmuangnon has closed the distance and engaged Quahaar in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jitmuangnon creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Quahaar's defenses.
Quahaar is trying to drag Jitmuangnon to the mat but Jitmuangnon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamal Quahaar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jitmuangnon tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Jitmuangnon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Quahaar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jitmuangnon can't fight it off and eventually Quahaar manages to take the fight to the floor. Jitmuangnon looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quahaar throws a strike but Jitmuangnon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Quahaar looking to control.

Jitmuangnon is sitting in close to Quahaar's body. Quahaar has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Jitmuangnon is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Jitmuangnon is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Quahaar.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kamal Quahaar!
