Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bob Smith (ranked 4561 p4p, 4688 weight class) and Ragang Ebon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch up but Ebon circles away and keeps his distance.
Ebon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith throws the kick towards the body but Ebon avoids it.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Ebon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Smith fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ebon avoids it really well and circles away.

Smith tries to clinch but Ebon moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith shoots in for a double leg but Ebon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Ebon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Ebon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Smith to stand up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Smith has a takedown stuffed.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination

and Ebon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Smith!
Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Smith is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ebon scores with a couple of nice shots.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ebon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Smith to get to his feet.

Ebon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smith manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ebon has Smith in his guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ebon clinches with his opponent.
Smith has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ebon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Smith is looking to control Ebon's arms but Ebon gets an underhook and turns him. Now Smith has his back to the cage.
Ebon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Smith gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ebon tries to pull guard but Smith won't allow it.
Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ebon.
Smith is trying to break the clinch but Ebon is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Smith decides to pull guard.
Ebon chips away with some ground and pound.
Ebon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Smith is trying to hold Ebon in close to prevent damage but Ebon has managed to pass into half guard.

Smith moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ebon is in close to Smith's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Smith looking for a guillotine here but Ebon defends easily.

Smith is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ebon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ebon is thwarting Smith's attempts to control the position.
Ebon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith wants to get back to full guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ragang Ebon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ebon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.

Smith is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ebon to keep the fight standing.
Smith looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Ebon prevents Smith from breaking the clinch.
Ebon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Smith gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ebon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Ebon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Smith lands an elbow just above Ebon 's eye.

Ebon wants the takedown. Smith is fighting it off but Ebon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Smith's guard against the cage.

Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ebon defends well.
Ebon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ebon clinches.

Smith has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Come on Ebon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Smith tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ebon avoids it.

Smith jumps into guard, dragging Ebon to the mat.
Smith wants to stand up but Ebon is controlling him.
Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ebon is stalling in the full guard.
Ebon lands a couple of elbows.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ebon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ebon follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Ebon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. Ebon is now in Smith's guard.
Bob Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ragang Ebon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ragang Ebon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ebon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
