Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Decantery Jonson (ranked 2810 p4p, 3051 weight class) and Ivar Kvick (ranked 356 p4p, 373 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kvick sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kvick swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kvick has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Decantery Jonson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kvick is trying to trip Jonson. He has hold of a leg but Jonson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kvick persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kvick sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jonson's guard.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jonson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jonson has Kvick pressed against the cage, preventing Kvick from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jonson throws a series of strikes and Kvick wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.

Jonson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kvick manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kvick can do anything to dispel that myth.
