PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Orsetti (ranked 3966 p4p, 3525 weight class) and Sakai Tzu (ranked 449 p4p, 405 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Orsetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sakai Tzu!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orsetti jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Orsetti misses with a series of wild punches.
Tzu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tzu drops his hands momentarily and Orsetti takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Orsetti connects with a right hand. Tzu shakes it off.
Orsetti throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tzu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Orsetti throws a looping overhand right but Tzu ducks down to avoid it.
Despite the aggression on Tzu's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Orsetti connects with a right hand. Tzu shakes it off.
Tzu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Orsetti is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Tzu moves away from the strike by Orsetti.
Tzu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Orsetti.
A countering left hand to the body from Tzu misses.
Tim Orsetti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A looping hook to the body misses from Orsetti. Tzu does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tzu appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Orsetti lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Tim Orsetti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tzu dodges the punch combination from Orsetti.
Tzu tries to counter by closing the distance.
Orsetti misses with a two punch combination.
Tzu doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Tzu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
It seemed like Tzu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Tzu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Orsetti tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tzu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Nice defenses there by Tzu.

Orsetti is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Orsetti scores with a jab. Tzu acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Orsetti swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Orsetti misses with a double jab
and Tzu counters with a good, hard body kick but Orsetti shrugs it off.
Orsetti is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Tzu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Orsetti.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Orsetti throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Tzu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Orsetti.

Tzu takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Tzu is rocked!
Orsetti lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Tzu falls backwards - clearly groggy! Orsetti dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
