Verdi comes into the arena with CHAMPION blaring out of the sound system. Branson White is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a leg kick which misses Verdi's front leg but catches the back leg as Verdi tries to avoid it.
Verdi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
White connects with an inside leg kick.
White throws out a powerful jab.
Verdi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before White can pounce on him.
White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A head kick misses from White.
We've been informed that White has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
White looks to land a left hand but Verdi moved out of range nicely.
White tries a head kick but it misses.

Verdi slips a straight right by White.
White keeps Verdi at a distance using the push kick.

White throws a sloppy head kick and Verdi moves out of range easily.

Verdi blocks the elbow strike.

Verdi is sitting in close to White's body. White has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Verdi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Verdi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by White.
