Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bibbs (ranked 4371 p4p, 24453 weight class) and Sss Sss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Bibbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bibbs gets a takedown into half guard.

Bibbs is looking for a kimura here.

Bibbs is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sss sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bibbs looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Bibbs is working for a kimura but Sss is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bibbs trying to pass the guard but Sss defending well.
Bibbs wants to get back to his feet.

Sss has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bibbs is on him like a limpet, forcing Sss back against the cage.

Bibbs jumps guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bibbs has control of Sss's left arm, preventing Sss from doing any damage.

Bibbs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sss defends it easily.
Bibbs keeping moving, preventing Sss from controlling successfully.

Bibbs throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sss escapes and throws Bibbs's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bibbs is looking to regain half guard here but Sss keeps moving and retains side control.
Sss tries to stand but Bibbs is controlling his head.
Bibbs tries to buck Sss off but Sss is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sss prevents Bibbs from escaping the position.
Sss is looking to take a break and control but Bibbs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bibbs is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sss off and has taken his back!
Bibbs is landing with strikes from the back.

Sss defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sss wants to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Bibbs dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bibbs clinches.
Bibbs is trying to pull guard but Sss turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bibbs tries to land knees in the clinch but Sss avoids the damage to the body.
Bibbs is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sss is defending well for now.
Bibbs tries to pull guard but Sss won't allow it.

Sss manages to break the clinch.

Bibbs shoots in and gets a takedown into Sss's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bibbs cracks Sss with a solid left hand.
Bibbs is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bibbs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sss is keeping the position for now.

Bibbs with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sss wants to stand and escape but Bibbs is having none of it.
Bibbs trying to control but Sss is working from the bottom.
Bibbs throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bibbs throws a strike but Sss rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Sss stands up and waves to Bibbs to follow him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bibbs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sss is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Bibbs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bibbs is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sss is defending well.
Sss is trying to force a seperation but Bibbs has the dominant position.
Bibbs tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bibbs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sss being controlled against the cage.
Bibbs is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sss can do to turn this around?

Bibbs looks for a takedown but Sss sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bibbs wants to get back to his feet but Sss passes into half guard.

Bibbs is trying to control but can't.
Sss trying to control the action but Bibbs is working from the bottom.
Bibbs is holding on to half guard well.
Bibbs is looking to control Sss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bibbs avoid being mounted?

Bibbs is trying to get back to full guard.
Bibbs is trying to maintain the position but Sss is very close to passing his half guard.
Bibbs gets back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bibbs is trying to keep Sss in close.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Bibbs will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bibbs.
Bibbs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sss counters with a body kick.
Bibbs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sss tries to avoid it but Bibbs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sss to the ground. Sss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sss throws a fast counter high kick but Bibbs manages to duck under it in time.

Bibbs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sss uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Bibbs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sss sprawls well initially but Bibbs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bibbs prevents Sss from standing back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bibbs is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sss wants to get back to his feet.
Sss is refusing to be controlled, as Bibbs sits in half guard.
Bibbs thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sss's head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Bibbs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sss replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Bibbs blocks it well.
Bibbs tries to land a front kick but Sss steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sss looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bibbs is fending him off so far but Sss persists. Nope, Bibbs circles away and we're back to standing.
Bibbs tries to clinch up but Sss circles away and keeps his distance.

and Sss counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bibbs throws a right and a left that Sss avoids nicely.
Bibbs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sss avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Bibbs. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bibbs shoots in looking for a takedown but Sss manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bibbs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sss is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

and Sss counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bibbs thinking.
Bibbs closes the distance and clinches up with Sss, looking for a takedown. Bibbs pushes Sss against the cage but Sss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sss is defended easily by Bibbs.
Sss dives in for a single leg takedown but Bibbs sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bibbs rushes Sss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sss Sss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sss is pressed up against the cage. Bibbs has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sss down to the mat. Sss avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sss shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bibbs sprawls well. Bibbs wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sss gets slowly back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Bibbs.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bibbs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
