Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tripp Faller (ranked 2387 p4p, 3739 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 295 p4p, 441 weight class). Lesnar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Next Big Thing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tripp Faller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faller buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Faller has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Aloha MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown but Faller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Faller appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Faller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Faller darts in and clinches Lesnar up against the cage.
Lesnar managing to block the knees to the body from Faller.
Faller looking to throw knees to the head but Lesnar is blocking nicely.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Faller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Faller tries to throw a body punch but Lesnar avoids it by throwing Faller back against the cage.
Lesnar blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Faller is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lesnar can't fight it off and eventually Faller manages to take the fight to the floor. Lesnar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Faller sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lesnar's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lesnar slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Lesnar has hold of Faller's hands but Faller slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Faller is trying to control the action in half guard but Lesnar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Faller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Lesnar wants to sweep but Faller has passed to side control!
Faller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Faller fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Faller thumps Lesnar with a low kick.
Lesnar shoots in looking for a takedown. Faller tries to sprawl out of it but Lesnar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Faller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Faller appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Lesnar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Faller to score with a decent uppercut.
Lesnar goes for a double leg but Faller avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Faller continues to drive forward.
Faller lands with a straight right. Lesnar didn't see that one coming.

Faller throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar tries for a takedown but Faller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tripp Faller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Faller is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lesnar can do to turn this around?

Lesnar tries to lock up and control but Faller gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Faller cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to Faller's temple.

Lesnar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Faller does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tripp Faller.
Well Faller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
