Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Baldwin Yong (ranked 24756 p4p, 24837 weight class) and Takeo Takeda (ranked 592 p4p, 576 weight class). Yong comes into the arena with Galway Girl blaring out of the sound system. Baldwin Yong has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baldwin Yong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Takeo Takeda!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yong closes the distance and pushes Takeda back into the cage.
Yong gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Takeda.
Takeda wants a takedown but no success here.
Takeda drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Baldwin Yong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeo Takeda.
Takeda has Yong pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Yong manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Takeda is working for takedown but Yong is calmly controlling the position for now.
Takeda is trying to drag Yong to the mat but Yong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Yong tightens his grip and picks Takeda up, before dumping him to the ground. Takeda manages to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yong scoring with punches to the head and body.
Yong postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Takeda is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Yong has his hands clasped together but Takeda extends and breaks Yong's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Takeda.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Takeo Takeda!
Baldwin Yong was interviewed post fight and said 'Why would the ref stop the fight I only broke both legs?'.
