Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Chief Chumbo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chumbo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pierre.
Pierre ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chumbo moves away.
Pierre drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Chumbo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pierre avoids it really well and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pierre seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
