Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oke Swahn (ranked 1364 p4p, 3108 weight class) and Chiharu Shiba (ranked 212 p4p, 429 weight class). Shiba is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sick Puppies - Survive. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oke Swahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chiharu Shiba!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swahn fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shiba on the side of the head.

It looks like Chiharu Shiba has been cut.
Swahn avoids the head kick by Shiba.
Shiba throws a leg kick but Swahn moved away.
Shiba throws a nice outside leg kick.
Swahn looks to land a left hand but Shiba moved out of range nicely.
Swahn throws out a loose jab but Shiba uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shiba throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Shiba throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Swahn misses with a hook.
Swahn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A low kick from Shiba is predictable there
and Swahn counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shiba's knee momentarily.
Swahn throws out a loose jab but Shiba uses good head movement to avoid it.
Swahn seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Swahn misses the jab.
Shiba only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Nice jab there from Swahn.
Shiba misses with a leg kick
and Swahn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
An inside leg kick lands from Swahn.
Swahn ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Good work by Swahn as he checks the leg kick.
Shiba tried to score with a low kick but Swahn checks it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Shiba.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shiba swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Swahn lands a glancing blow to the side of Shiba's head.
Shiba wants to clinch up but Swahn keeps it at a distance.
Chiharu Shiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shiba takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Shiba throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Shiba tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Swahn is able to avoid easily.
Swahn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shiba fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Swahn.
Shiba steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Swahn. That one must have hurt.
Shiba takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Shiba looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Shiba wants to land a leg kick but Swahn is out of range.
Swahn quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Shiba throws a low kick but it's checked well by Swahn.
Shiba will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Swahn avoids the head kick by Shiba.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Swahn works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Swahn checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Swahn swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Shiba throws out a leg kick but Swahn moves out of range and Shiba only half commits.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shiba throws a low kick, looking for Swahn's leg but Swahn calmly moves out of range.

Swahn lands a big uppercut and Shiba crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shiba looks OK. Swahn waves Shiba back to his feet!

Shiba is rocked!
Swahn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shiba.
Shiba is still on wobbly legs! Can Swahn finish him?
Swahn circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Shiba tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Swahn wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Oke Swahn!
During a confident post fight interview, Oke Swahn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
