Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sian Thalansi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Little Bandit!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Bandit. No joy for Thalansi on that attempt.
Bandit looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Thalansi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bandit.
Bandit throws a hook but Thalansi blocks it.
Bandit dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Thalansi doesn't manage to clinch there - Bandit circles away.
Bandit misses the shot to the body.
Thalansi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bandit leaves Thalansi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Little Bandit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bandit scores with a body shot.
Bandit just misses with a punch to the body.
Thalansi shoots in looking for a takedown. Bandit tries to sprawl out of it but Thalansi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bandit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sian Thalansi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
