Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Captain Gonza (ranked 721 p4p, 447 weight class) and Kappa Knox (ranked 114 p4p, 65 weight class). Knox has chosen 'Til I Collapse | Eminem as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Captain Gonza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kappa Knox!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonza throws a sloppy head kick and Knox moves out of range easily.
Nice defenses there by Gonza.
Gonza fails with the takedown
and Knox counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Knox lands a high kick!
Gonza misses with a few strikes there.
A little jabbing left from Knox on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gonza has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Knox.
Gonza wants to land a leg kick but Knox is out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Knox! But no joy.
Knox looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Gonza pushes Knox up against the ropes in a clinch.
Knox avoiding damage.
Gonza lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Knox or not.
Gonza misses with a punch on the inside.
Gonza tries to pull guard but Knox won't allow it.
Knox wants to break the clinch but can't.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gonza.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gonza lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Knox wants to stall.
Gonza blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Knox breaks the clinch.
Captain Gonza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonza throws a head kick but Knox moves out of range.
Knox throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Gonza catches Knox with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Knox lands a nice shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Knox. Gonza does a little dance to reset his feet.
A quick step to the side and Gonza tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gonza throws a right and a left that both miss.
A little jabbing left from Knox on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Knox takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Knox keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
As Gonza backs off Knox throws a huge counter combo but Gonza manages to avoid it all.
Gonza tries to clinch but Knox moves away
and Knox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gonza throws a looping overhand right but Knox ducks down to avoid it.

Gonza looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Knox!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Gonza stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Gonza throws a head kick that misses.
Knox takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gonza misses the shot to the body.

Gonza rushes Knox and presses him up against the ropes.
Gonza avoiding damage as Knox throws knees to the body.
Knox wants to break free but Gonza has control.
Gonza trying to control the position but instead, Knox has worked for underhooks and has pushed Gonza into the ropes.
Knox lands a hook to the side of the head.
Knox has Gonza pushed against the ropes.

Knox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Knox.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Knox, as that shot connected.
Gonza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Knox avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Captain Gonza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gonza shoots in for a double leg but Knox sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Gonza moves into range and clinches up with Knox.
Gonza tries to score a body lock takedown but Knox shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Knox working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Knox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Knox.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gonza.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Knox knocks Gonza out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kappa Knox!
A victorious Kappa Knox thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
