And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Hanley!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanley shoots in but no luck this time.
Hanley on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Ryan Hanley has been cut.
Mayer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Mayer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hanley has time to react.
Mayer scores with a hook to the body. Hanley takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mayer misses the shot to the body.
Hanley throws an off balance right hand
and Mayer counters with a stiff right hand.
Mayer missing with a left hand there. Hanley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mayer jabs Hanley to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hanley with a poor takedown
and Mayer counters with a stiff right hand.
Hanley tries for a takedown but Mayer circles away easily
and Mayer counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Hanley badly! Mayer follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Hanley out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Mayer finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ethan Mayer!

A relieved looking Ethan Mayer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
