Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nando Vasquez (ranked 1679 p4p, 1260 weight class) and Ryan Rodriguez (ranked 181 p4p, 139 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vasquez moves out of range as Rodriguez strikes.
Rodriguez ducks under a wild hook from Vasquez.
Some bone on bone action there as Rodriguez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Vasquez moves out of range of the strikes.
Rodriguez connects with a looping right hand.

Vasquez clinches up with Rodriguez and pushes him back against the cage.
Vasquez swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Vasquez tries to work over Rodriguez's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Vasquez manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vasquez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rodriguez is able to avoid easily.
Rodriguez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vasquez.
Vasquez wants to clinch up but Rodriguez keeps it at a distance.
A little jabbing left from Rodriguez on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Rodriguez lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Nando Vasquez has been cut.
Rodriguez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Good exchange - Rodriguez coming out on top.
Vasquez is rocked!
Vasquez leaves his chin hanging out and Rodriguez seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Vasquez crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ryan Rodriguez tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
