PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dru Quick (ranked 21910 p4p, 2200 weight class) and Arild Ringnes (ranked 173 p4p, 75 weight class). Quick comes to the ring accompanied by Gangster's Paradise- Coolio. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dru Quick!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arild Ringnes !
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ringnes tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Quick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A right-left combo lands from Ringnes .
Ringnes darts in trying to clinch
and Quick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ringnes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ringnes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Ringnes rushes Quick and presses him up against the ropes.
Quick tries to land a knee to the head but Ringnes blocks with his arms.
Quick scores with a shoulder strike.
Ringnes blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Quick is trying to break the clinch but Ringnes has him pressed against the ropes.

Quick throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ringnes blocks it with crossed arms.
Quick tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ringnes pushes Quick back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ringnes scores with a shoulder strike.
Ringnes putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Quick in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Quick is breathing heavily.

A nice right hand lands inside from Ringnes .

Quick pushes off an throws an elbow but Ringnes leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Quick using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ringnes has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ringnes makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Oh Quick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Quick seems to have got his legs back now.
Ringnes throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Ringnes makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Ringnes lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ringnes creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Quick crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Quick face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Ringnes takes it with a brutal technical knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Arild Ringnes !

Arild Ringnes very nearly forgot to thank HELLS BALLS RECOVERY amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
